About United Safety Technology
United Safety Technology was founded in April 2020 by a group of entrepreneurs with the goal of re-shoring PPE manufacturing back to the USA.
They recognized that in addition to the shortage, much of the PPE that was coming in from foreign sources, primarily China, was unsafe and unreliable. United Safety Technology operates 24 hours a day to achieve the goal of producing as many N95 respirators as possible to meet the domestic demand.
United Safety Technology converted an existing, Los Angeles-based factory to produce N95 respirators from domestically sourced materials – without reliance on foreign governments or companies. United Safety Technology is currently producing 300,000 respirators per day and is on track to be able to produce one million per day by the end of the first quarter 2021.
United Safety Technology’s customers include the federal, state, and local governments, large domestic medical device distributors, as well as hospitals and long-term care facilities. The United Safety Technology Foundation also plans to donate a significant amount of N95 respirators to those in need, with a focus on smaller community-based organizations that don’t have the budget or ability to compete with the US govt or larger hospital and buying groups to acquire PPE.
